Every Child Matters

The Government's aim is for every child, whatever their background or their circumstances, to have the support they need to:

Be healthy

Stay safe
Enjoy and achieve
Make a positive contribution
Achieve economic well-being

The Play Forums support statuary and voluntary groups who are working hard to deliver these aims through play.

Introduction

The Nottinghamshire Play Forum Network is made up of seven Play Forums who are either not for profit or charitable organisations based in the County of Nottinghamshire.

They operate from Resource Centres in Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Broxtowe, Gedling, Mansfield, Newark and Rushcliffe.

During open days members can access the scrapstore, shop, hire equipment, shop, toy libraries etc.

The Resource Centre Co-ordinators are always available to give help and advice on any play related subjects. There is also teams of volunteers working on processing scrap materials making sure it is suitable for use by children. They also work on play and craft ideas for playschemes and workshops and they help with the day to day maintenance of the resource centre making sure the premises are clean and safe and they also share their vast experiences with our members and give advice when needed.
